The third edition of the Intern Workshop event, which has become a tradition thanks to the contributions of Yalova University's Department of New Media and Communication and the Communication Club, was held on Tuesday, October 21st, in the 15 Temmuz Conference Hall. The event was organised to guide university students in their career planning and contribute to their preparation for professional life.
This year's workshop featured Fatmanur Nehir, who interned at Ege Telgraf, Emirhan Bukan, who had the opportunity to intern at Anadolu Agency, and Hayrunnisa Yalçın, who interned at Turkuvaz Media, as speakers. Students who gained internship experience at prestigious institutions and organisations shared their knowledge and insights, passing on their information and expertise to the young participants. The speakers, who shared information on what needs to be done before starting an internship, the healthy management of the internship application process, and the points to pay attention to during the internship, provided important recommendations for a successful internship experience.
Throughout the event, students had the opportunity to listen to the experiences of interns from different sectors, while also gaining significant insights into setting career goals, networking, and planning future professional steps.
Communication Club president Nehir Uzun concluded the event by emphasising that they will continue to support students in their career journeys, thanking all the speakers, participants, and New Media and Communication department faculty who contributed to the 3rd Intern Workshop.
