Dr Banu Ezber Sayar and Dr Demet Yalçın, lecturers at the Department of New Media and Communication, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Yalova University, participated in the Disaster Reporting Training Panel organised by the Presidency of Communications on 2 December.
The opening speeches of the programme were delivered by the President of the Presidency Communications Directorate, Prof. Dr. Burhanettin Duran, and the President of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), Ali Hamza Pehlivan. In his opening speech, the Head of the Presidency Communications Department, Prof. Dr. Burhanettin Duran, emphasised the importance of the panel and stressed that the Communications Directorate was working hard to strengthen and further develop Turkey's communications ecosystem in line with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's vision of ‘Turkey Century, Century of Communication’.
